To serve the residents of Addison Township in a fair, friendly, and efficient manner

About Us

We are a caring office that respects the diversity of the community. Providing opportunities for citizens to actively participate in government service. Encouraging resident involvement, as without resident involvement, Addison would not be Addison.

To be of value and service to you, we are well trained and educated in our position. Using this knowledge and a team approach to provide excellent service with openness, efficiency and accountability. This office is a motivated office.

The staff and I will continue to work with integrity in a supportive and positive environment. The Clerk’s office strives for a safe, healthy, rural atmosphere and environmentally responsible township.

Services

First and foremost, to serve the Residents of Addison. We are considered the point person similar to the point guard position. Willing to assist or find the appropriate person to do so. The Clerk’s office has a variety of job assignments but residents most often utilize the services listed.  These services include:

• Notary Service.

• Meeting Dates, Agenda’s, and Packets.

• Land Development and Applications. Special Use, Site Plan, Rezoning, Land Divisions, Private Roads and Zoning Board of Appeals.

• Voter Registration.

• Elections: Absent Voter Application and all election duties.

• Lakeville and Kingsbury Cemetery Operations.

• General Ledger Reports/ Budget Reports/Payroll.

• Custodian and all records of the Township and Record Certification, as law allows. Such as, Oath of Office, Contracts of the Township, Minutes, Public Notice, Ordinances of Addison Township, Resolutions as passed by the Board and policy as set by the Addison Township Board.

Representing Addison on the:

• Oxford/Addison Youth Assistance Board

• Oakland County Chapter of the Michigan Township Association Board

• Oakland County Clerks Association

• Michigan Municipal Clerks
